With 2011's wedding season finally coming to an end, I finally have the time to do a whole ton of posts that I've been meaning to do for some time now! I have so many ideas for blog posts up my sleeves...after my first ever video log last month, I've received many awesome questions from brides to be AND fellow wedding photographers that I've just been dying to answer, so hopefully some time next week I'll be able to post another video. Aaanywho, some weekends ago, Mike took me to the Stowe Landscape Gardens in Buckingham and we had a lovely but thoroughly tiring day traipsing (okay, more like plodding) through the expansive estate.
Stowe Landscape Gardens is an estate filled with awesomeness. I think it has more than 30 temples. Think about it, over 30 picturesque spots for portraits, all within walking distance of one another. A photographer's dream come true! They also have really chilled-out sheep. Okay, that seems really random, but there was something about this flock of sheep that made watching them as calming as a yoga session. Mike calls them "God's sheep", which I guess is pretty apt.
Is the place gorgeous or what? Just to clarify, I was not commissioned by the National Trust to promote Stowe Landscape Gardens or anything! ;) I'm just a sucker for all things wedding and every time I find myself in a place of beauty, my immediate thought is: "Hmmm, where would I place the bride and groom?" Mike thinks that's pretty sad because I'm not living in the moment, but living through the camera lens is good enough for me. Happy Thursday! Categories:
